As most people are probably on this site to know something about me or the things I do, I might as well tell some information about me.

Almost two decades ago, I was born in Utrecht, The Netherlands. I was raised there and went to primary and high school in that city. After I completed my primary school, I went to high school at “Utrechts Stedelijk Gymnasium”. I got my diploma in six years and had to decide what to do next.

As I wanted to go to university, but did not have any clue what to study, I decided to take a gap year. During this gap year, I was fortunate enough to go to Spain for several months. Over there I did what I love most; riding my bike.

I have been riding my bike since I was a small kid. I did cyclocross, track racing (only once) and road racing on competitive level. At this moment I am not racing anymore though. I still ride my bike as much as possible and I have the greatest pleasure doing so. You could call me a “romantic cyclist”, a term introduced by Szymon Bike.

Which brings me to my current situation. I currently travel around, finding the best roads and the nicest climbs. To be able to do this, I work in bike shops and / or as a cycling guide.
